As per usual, we opened gifts on Christmas Eve this year. My take:

The entire series of Leverage
Black Lagoon and Black Lagoon: The Second Barrage
Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE, Wii U
Dragon Age Origins: Ultimate Edition, PS3
Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, PS4 (The Pre-Sequel, Borderlands 2, and all DLC)
Kirby: Planet Robobot, 3DS
$50 Barnes and Noble card
$50 in cash

Cash for B Fest.

My friend Andy took me out to lunch and we went bowling, but that wasn't specifically a Christmas thing. I'm a subpar bowler (something to do with breaking my wrist in 2000 and not bowling a single frame since then).

So far the entire haul between both of us is two CDs, one ornament, and one board game. But I'm told there's some more in the mail. Half of my holiday spending was on charities in somebody's name rather than on objects, so fair enough.

Update: one book arrived late.

We're doing a hardwood floor in the bedroom so that's pretty much it. Also went to visit the stepdaughter in Pensacola.

Got a new wedding ring to replace the very worn old one. Had no idea that gold eroded. Beautiful white and yellow gold combo.

Bought my wife a bracelet of tanzanite gems.

Then we went on a trip to Florida to watch UK lose to Georgia Tech. We did discover that Jacksonville, Florida is in the midst of an overhaul of their downtown. Judging by the numbers of closed storefronts and the crappy downtown restaurants, they need it.

Best Christmas and New Years gifts - talking via Messenger and What's App to our hostdaughters.

Late gift: a pair of tea towels printed with images of cute pathogens such as hepatitis B and ebola, from the creator of such classic science-themed homewares and crafts as "Baby's First Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Book".
