My first thought is that Psychomania would be an entirely different, and rather better, film if some of the frogs in it were the size of bank buildings.

Not surprisingly, The Milland might have gotten the environmental message sooner if the Frogs were about size of the one from Pan's Labyrinth

I don't remember any outsized herps in Pan's Etc. I may have to see it again...

You definitely need to see it again because that movie is awesome.

But yeah, the first test for the girl involves a frog creature about her own size.

And of course, I think every movie that doesn't already have a giant monster would be improved by adding one. Take Casablanca. One of the greatest movies ever made. Yet even it could be improved if Rick had to take on a kaiju at some point.

I think a lot of people would have felt (and did feel) that The Watchmen would have been better if it had hued a little closer the the source material's giant monster finale. I'm not totally sold on that view. I think the way that Adrian Veidt was portrayed in the movie, this ending we got was a little more elegant in it's conception.

And think of the TV possibilities! I would sit down and watch every episode of ER if I knew that at some point, while helping a woman in labor, the heroic nurses would have to take a flamethrower to a giant Chinchilla running amok, with bloody foam painted around its rabbity mouth...Or in the next episode, while they're treating a gunshot victim, they're beset by really outsized Gila monsters...and on and on.

But back to the movies:

Monkey Business
Laura
Rebecca
The Lion In Winter
The Hours
Plenty
The Money Pit
Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter?

Cliffhanger would be fantastic with a giant yeti.

Can you imagine how much better The Godfather would have been if Abe Vigoda, James Caan and the actor who played Luca Brazzi had been kaiju? I can.

Think about Crank 2 - the sequel to the highly insane movie Crank. Crank 2 sucked, didn't it. But what was the only moment when it did not suck?
That's right - Jason Statham as rubber-suited kaiju.

Cabin in the Woods. Now that you mention it, Kaiju are probably the only thing missing from that fine movie.

As good as it is, I vote for improving U-571 with a giant monster.

Cabin in the Woods does have a giant snake! It will be included in a future update of Kaijumatic.

<steamed>Someone could have improved Conan the Barbarian by letting us get a good look at the kaiju in the water instead of just hinting around.</steamed>

In case someone hasn't seen it: What about the last thing we see? That is definitely daikaiju.

Might have also been one that scooped up poor Amy Acker. Based on the size of the tentacle, it (whatever it was) looked like it was pretty damn big.

I'm doing that because I loved that monkeywrenching movie so much, and I would not want to spoil the fun for anyone who hasn't seen it.
